Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit buyyourwayout.com (the "site") or buy the e-book Buy Your Way Out, and how it is used. The site is operated by Ricardo Garcia ("I", "me").
Information collected
- Purchases. Orders are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record: it takes your payment, collects any sales tax, and delivers the e-book. When you buy the book, Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, payment details, and billing location. I receive your name, email address, billing location, and a record of the purchase. I never see or store your full card number.
- Email updates. If you sign up for updates, your email address is stored through the site's hosting provider, Netlify.
- Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the site that referred you.
- Server logs. Netlify, which hosts the site, automatically records standard technical information such as IP address and browser type.
- Email you send. If you email me, I keep the message and your address so I can reply.
How information is used
- To deliver the e-book and provide support for your purchase
- To keep purchase records for accounting and tax purposes
- To send updates, only if you signed up for them
- To understand and improve how the site is used
- To prevent fraud and meet legal obligations
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it for advertising purposes.
Service providers
Information is shared only with the companies that help run the site, each under its own privacy policy:
- Lemon Squeezy, for checkout, payment, and delivery of the e-book
- Netlify, for hosting and form submissions
- Google, for analytics
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visitors apart. Lemon Squeezy may set cookies on its checkout page to process payments and prevent fraud. You can block cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. This site does not currently change its behavior in response to those signals. I do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
How long information is kept
Purchase records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. Email signups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from updates at any time. You can also ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their personal information.
